Choosing cast and crew was, perhaps, more difficult this year than any year in the past. We had so many young people who are talented. We had rehearsal auditions, and some students projected more during the more intimate setting than they did today during the mass audition.
If we had two or three students who were equally talented, we looked at the completed packets. Some did not complete the most important answer which was - Why do I want to be in one act play? They may not have elaborated. Some parents completed the answers for their children. One of the reasons that we have the packets is so that children learn to express themselves and communicate with me - why they want to be part of the team.
The bottom line is that we tried to do our best in choosing students who were right for the roles. I explained to the students that we rarely finish a season with the same line up of young people that we started with. Parts change.

Our first rehearsal is Tuesday, September 9, at 5 PM. Students need to bring their scripts and a pencil & high lighter.
